El encanto a la poesía china y el poder fascinante de las obras de los grandes maestros se ha ido extendiendo a Occidente, entre cuyos admiradores figuran también grandes poetas occidentales.
Esta edición está dirigida a lectores aficionados a la cultura china en general y a los que deseen conocer su poesía clásica en particular. Por "poesía clásica china" entendemos la que se compone desde tiempos del «Shi Jing (Libro de poemas modelo)» del siglo XI a.C., hasta la última dinastía china, la de Quing (1644-1911)., siguiendo las normas métricas y otras reglas establecidas.
