Això es fa encara més evident durant i després de les guerres i els conflictes armats. El fet que les dones no siguin vistes com a actores essencials en aquests processos fa que es malgasti una gran quantitat de coneixement i d¿experiència, la qual cosa representa una pèrdua de temps i de diners, que té un impacte negatiu en les vides i les perspectives futures tant de les dones com dels homes.
